Portable Water Closet (PWC) began its journey in 2011, founded by St. Louis native Kate Barcom. With a background in interior design, Kate brought a fresh perspective to the portable sanitation industry. Inspired by conversations with mentors in both the design and waste management fields, she set out to improve the overall experience of portable restrooms.
Over the next decade, Kate and the dedicated PWC team worked hard to grow the business into one of the leading names in portable toilet rentals throughout the St. Louis metro area. We’ve proudly served communities across “The Lou,” including Wildwood, Clayton, Chesterfield, St. Peters, Maplewood, Kirkwood, and Sunset Hills.
In 2022, Kate stepped away to focus on her family and new ventures. PWC found new leadership in Doug Marshall, a fellow St. Louis local, who—with the same trusted team—continues the mission of providing dependable, high-quality service. Under Doug’s guidance, PWC is excited to grow even further, serving both the special event and construction industries with care and professionalism.
